Who may use a partner code?#

A partner code is for people supported by the charity or service that holds it, and who have been given the code by that organisation. Each organisation's staff decide who to give it to. We do not ask anyone to prove that they are eligible, and we do not ask why they are changing their name.

Orders are placed in the customer's own name, on our ordinary terms and conditions, by a person aged 16 or over ordering for themselves, or by a parent or guardian ordering a child's deed poll.

What does it take off?#

15% off the whole order at our checkout. That covers everything the checkout sells: an adult, child or replacement deed poll, certified copies, cover letters, a board-backed envelope, SafeKeep, and delivery, UK or international.

The discount comes off the prices every customer pays at our checkout, which are listed on prices and delivery. We do not raise any price to pay for it. For example, an adult deed poll at £18.50 with second class delivery at £2.99 comes to £21.49 before the code and £18.27 after it. The checkout shows the discount and the total before anyone pays.

How is it used?#

Type the code into the discount box at the checkout, or open the link or QR code from the organisation, which fills it in. It works at both our adult and child checkouts.

  • One code per order. The checkout takes one code at a time, so a partner code cannot be combined with any other code or offer.
  • Any number of orders. A code is not limited to one use. Each order is one use, and the same person may use it again for another order.
  • Nothing extra to pay. Using a code costs nothing, and the code changes nothing else about the order: delivery times, the acceptance guarantee and your right to cancel before drafting begins are the same as for any order.

Is there a closing date?#

No. A partner code runs until the organisation asks us to stop it, or until we replace or end it as set out below. There is no deadline because the people these codes are for often cannot choose when they change their name, and a closing date would only put pressure on them. The discount is the same whenever it is used, so nobody loses out by ordering later.

Can a code be replaced or ended?#

Yes, in four ways:

  • The organisation asks. We switch the code off, and send a new one if the organisation wants it, normally the same working day.
  • The code is found in public, for example on a voucher site, or is being used in a way these terms do not allow. We switch it off straight away and send the organisation a new one.
  • We end the programme or change these terms. We tell every organisation holding a code by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
  • We end one organisation's code for another reason. We tell that organisation by email at least 30 days beforehand.

A change never affects an order that has already been paid. If a code was switched off between someone receiving it and using it, they can ask the organisation for its new code.

What if a code does not work?#

Check that it is typed as given. If it still does not work, write to us through the contact page or at support@deedpolls-online.co.uk before ordering. If a valid code was not applied to an order, tell us within 30 days of ordering and we refund the discount it should have given.

Does using a code help the charity?#

No. Using a partner code gives no money to the organisation that holds it, and we neither pay organisations nor receive payment from them. A code is a discount for the customer, and nothing more.

What happens to the customer's details?#

The same as for any order: our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. Using a code tells us only that the code was used. We do not tell the organisation who used it; if it asks, we tell it how many orders were placed with its code each quarter, giving a count below three as "fewer than three".

Who runs the codes?#

The codes are run by Deed Polls Online, a service of Lunar Design. Our correspondence address is 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, and our email address is support@deedpolls-online.co.uk.

These terms were last changed on 26 October 2026. For charities explains the programme as a whole.
